The Green Infrastructure team develops projects to address climate change through low carbon or renewable energy generation, such as cogeneration or photovoltaics; it supports the City’s energy and water use monitoring and efficiency initiatives; and works to conserve water resources and improve the City’s resilience through stormwater harvesting and water recycling schemes. The Team also provides advice on how to integrate sustainable design into new buildings and refurbishments and decisions around major plant and asset replacements.

As a Green Infrastructure Project Development Engineer you will:

You will also have the knowledge and negotiation skills needed to advocate effectively for environmentally sustainable outcomes.

You will have strong set of technical competencies and experience to bring to the position resulting from extensive professional involvement in one or more aspects of the building, infrastructure and plant and equipment life cycle, such as, design, project management, commissioning, maintenance or refurbishment. Some experience with mixed mode air conditioning, chillers, heat pumps, trigeneration or cogeneration units and absorption chillers; or with controls to integrate these into building systems, would be an advantage.
